Applications closed on 28 October 2026
Mentalzon is a telehealth platform that connects licensed psychologists with individuals, couples, and families across the United States. The company is looking for U.S.-licensed psychologists who want to run their own remote practice and take on clients through the platform. You work as an independent contractor, set your own schedule and fees, and are paid directly by clients.
What you will do
- Provide evidence-based psychological services to individuals, couples, or families over a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, within your scope of licensure and clinical expertise.
- Keep clinical documentation accurate and complete, and finish it on time, following HIPAA standards and the rules of your licensing state or states.
- Follow the APA's Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct, applicable state and federal laws, and telehealth confidentiality and security practices.
- Communicate your practice policies, session fees, and scheduling directly with clients to keep the therapeutic relationship professional.
- Set your own session rates and handle billing and payment with your clients yourself.
What they are looking for
- A doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
- A current, unrestricted license to practice psychology independently in at least one U.S. state. You are responsible for staying compliant with inter-state telehealth laws.
- At least two years of post-licensure experience delivering psychotherapy or psychological assessments.
- Competence with secure telehealth tools such as SimplePractice, Doxy.me, or Zoom for Healthcare, plus experience with Electronic Health Record systems.
- An active professional liability (malpractice) insurance policy with coverage appropriate for your practice.
- Readiness to work as an independent contractor and manage your own schedule, taxes, and business expenses.
Skills
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and case conceptualization skills.
- Clear interpersonal and communication skills, including building rapport remotely.
- Empathy, cultural humility, and professionalism.
- Good organization and time management.
- A commitment to ongoing professional growth and ethical practice.
What the platform offers
- Full control over your schedule, caseload, and hours, from 5 to 30+ hours per week.
- You set your session fees. Clients pay you directly and you keep 100% of your earnings, with no commission taken.
- Referrals from a pool of clients seeking therapy, matched to your specialties, at no cost to you.
- You can work from home or an office, as long as you are in a state where you are licensed.
- The platform handles client outreach and technology, so you can focus on clinical care.
- No sign-up costs, membership fees, or hidden charges.
Pay and location
Pay is $50 to $100 per hour. The role is remote, and you must be located in a state where you are licensed to practice.
How the process works
- Submit an application and create a professional profile covering your qualifications, specialties, and therapeutic approach.
- Upload verification documents, including your doctoral degree, state license or licenses, and proof of liability insurance, for the credentialing team to review.
- After verification, join an onboarding session to learn the platform and its practices.
- Set your availability and start receiving client requests. You manage communications, scheduling, and payments directly.
