KMC Solutions Inc is hiring a Finance Officer for BMF, part of the Enero Group. This is a consolidated role that combines accounts payable work with financial accounting, and it is based remotely in the Philippines. You would report to the Finance Manager and work with teams across BMF and the wider Enero Group.

The job suits someone who can work independently, take ownership of their tasks, and build working relationships with stakeholders they may never meet in person. You would handle day-to-day financial operations, keep records accurate, support month-end close, and provide analysis that helps the business make decisions.

What you will do

Accounts payable

• Receive, review, and process supplier invoices for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate approval
• Code invoices with the correct general ledger and job codes in Workbook ERP
• Process supplier payments via ABA files and direct deposits, verify payment terms, and ensure timely settlement
• Reconcile payments with invoices and maintain creditors ageing reports
• Manage supplier accounts and contact information in Workbook, including vendor onboarding and reconciliations
• Respond to vendor inquiries about payment status and resolve discrepancies
• Review employee expense reports for accuracy and policy compliance, and process reimbursements

Financial accounting

• Prepare and maintain financial records in line with internal controls and accounting standards
• Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting
• Ensure payroll transactions are recorded accurately
• Monitor cash flow and help prepare cash flow projections
• Assist in preparing and analysing spend reports
• Support budgeting and forecasting by providing financial data and analysis
• Generate accounts payable and financial reports, plus ad hoc analysis as required

Compliance and audit

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting regulations
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and support
• Uphold ethical financial practices

Process and systems

• Maintain and update Workbook ERP and related financial systems
• Identify and implement ways to streamline financial processes
• Prepare financial documentation and support for business operations and strategic planning
• Take part in system enhancements or implementations as required

Stakeholder and culture

• Build working relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and Enero Group stakeholders
• Collaborate cross-functionally to provide financial insights and support for projects
• Participate in team activities and company events, virtual and in person where applicable
• Display and maintain BMF's values: Gutsy, Cheeky, Humble

What they are looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with Workbook ERP, which is mandatory and not negotiable
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with exposure to both AP and financial accounting functions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at intermediate to advanced level
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transaction processing
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a remote environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
