Senior Shopify Full-Stack Developer

Invictus Direct is hiring a Senior Shopify Full-Stack Developer to lead the development of enterprise-grade Shopify solutions. The role sits with a digital consulting client that works on modern commerce, CRM, and digital transformation projects, and it involves both internal products and client implementations. This is for a senior developer who wants to influence architecture decisions and mentor other developers in a consulting setting.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end development of Shopify-based products, including custom applications, storefront extensions, and internal tools
• Design, develop, and maintain Shopify solutions using Liquid, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, GraphQL, and Shopify APIs
• Make technical architecture decisions focused on scalability, performance, maintainability, and security
• Design and implement integrations between Shopify and ERP, POS, payment, and third-party platforms
• Set engineering best practices for version control, CI/CD, deployment pipelines, testing, and documentation
• Join client discovery sessions and translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, code reviews, and mentoring junior developers
• Work with project managers, solution architects, designers, and business stakeholders
• Maintain technical documentation, reusable development patterns, and architectural standards

What they are looking for

• 5+ years of professional full-stack web development experience with deep Shopify expertise
• Proven experience building custom Shopify apps and advanced storefront customizations
• Strong experience with Shopify APIs, GraphQL, Liquid, React, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Experience designing scalable architectures for enterprise or high-growth Shopify merchants
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering best practices, including testing, CI/CD, and version control
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to take part in client-facing technical discussions
• Ability to work independently while leading technical initiatives in a remote environment

Preferred

• Experience with Shopify POS, ERP integrations, or unified commerce solutions
• Previous consulting or digital agency experience
• Experience supporting multi-store, multi-region, or high-volume Shopify environments
• Familiarity with Salesforce Commerce or broader eCommerce ecosystems

Pay, hours, and location

The salary is USD 115,000 to 140,000 per year. This is a full-time role with flexible hours. It is remote, with the employer listing the location as Canada.
