Delphi Consulting is hiring a Token Associate to work with web3 companies on tokenomics design. The role sits inside Delphi's consulting arm, which helps projects define token economies through analysis and strategic guidance. It is a remote position open to candidates in North America, South America, and Asia, and it is aimed at someone with quantitative modeling skills who wants to spend their working time on token systems.
What you will do
- Gather and interpret data for ecosystem analyses, producing reports with Python-based analysis and visualization tools.
- Help develop litepapers that set out the principles of proposed cryptoeconomic frameworks, with quantitative detail where it applies.
- Build and maintain Python valuation and statistical models for tokenized systems, using NumPy, Pandas, and scikit-learn to run simulations or stress tests under different scenarios.
- Contribute to token economic system design through quantitative methods such as mathematical modeling of incentive mechanisms, liquidity provisioning, and emissions schedules, and help senior team members refine and test those models.
- Take part in governance framework work, using data analysis to inform on-chain and off-chain structures, community involvement, and participation methods.
- After launch, analyze governance metrics to help refine structures and update project literature based on findings.
- Support whitepaper development, iterating on technical and data-driven sections so they meet industry standards for public presentation.
- Research emerging tokenomic models and apply statistical or Python-based analysis to spot new trends, sharing findings with the team.
What they are looking for
- 1+ years of experience, or strong internship exposure, in mathematical or statistical modeling, ideally using Python for data analysis and model building.
- Familiarity with web3 concepts such as tokens, blockchains, and cryptocurrency, and willingness to learn more about smart contracts, DAOs, and on-chain mechanics.
- Extensive experience with tokens, including creation, minting, yield farming, issuing, burning, and staking.
- Understanding of financial models (NPV, discount rates, bonding curves) and fundamental statistical methods (regression, hypothesis testing), with willingness to learn advanced approaches.
- Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain data-driven findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn) and Excel, with willingness to learn other data-analysis tools.
- A bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or another quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- A motivated, driven self-starter.
Preferred
- An advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus but not required.
- Prior internship or analyst role at a web3 or blockchain-focused organization.
- Experience contributing to tokenomic strategies or simulations, such as running Python-based models or analyses.
- Familiarity with additional languages such as R or SQL, or statistical software, especially alongside Python.
- Awareness of regulatory considerations and compliance in the blockchain space is an advantage but not required.
Pay and benefits
The expected salary range is USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year. The salary offered depends on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. A performance bonus and long-term incentives may also be provided, along with medical, financial, and other benefits depending on the position offered.
Benefits listed include health, dental, and vision insurance, flexible working hours, remote work options, professional growth and development opportunities, and access to industry conferences and networking events.
