Field Engineer, Commercial

Cursor is hiring Field Engineers in Singapore to work with prospective and growing commercial customers. You would be the technical face of the company in the field, helping customers evaluate the Grok platform, including Grok Build, Grok Bot and the Grok API. The role is for someone who can code alongside developers and also present to technical leaders.

What you will do

• Partner with Account Executives to lead technical discovery, demos and proof-of-concept engagements.
• Build working prototypes that connect multiple tools and agents, showing customers how a real workflow runs end to end.
• Build trusted relationships with engineering leaders, architects and developers, serving as their technical advisor.
• Translate customer requirements into end-to-end solution designs, from agents and tooling to the controls that keep people in the loop.
• Guide customers on best practices for rollout, prompt strategy and context configuration.
• Develop and deliver technical presentations, whiteboard sessions and hands-on workshops tailored to customer needs.
• Act as the customer's technical advocate internally, influencing roadmap priorities and escalating feedback to Product and Engineering.
• Collaborate with post-sales teams to ensure a smooth handoff and successful customer onboarding.
• Maintain deep knowledge of the Grok platform and the competitive landscape to position the company's value effectively.
• Support account planning and help drive expansion opportunities across a portfolio of customers with technical validation.

What they are looking for

• Strong communication skills and executive presence, equally comfortable coding alongside developers or presenting to technical leaders.
• A deep understanding of how work gets done in modern organisations, whether that is the software development lifecycle and developer productivity, or the business systems and workflows that span teams.
• Hands-on technical ability and systems thinking. You do not need to be a full-time engineer, but you should be fluent in technical workflows and AI tooling and understand how the pieces connect, where they break and how to make them reliable at scale.
• A customer-obsessed approach with a knack for translating technical details into business impact.
• Experience in Field Engineering, Solutions Architecture or Pre-Sales, or having designed and built systems that automate work across teams and tools.
• Comfort in a startup environment: resourceful, adaptable, proactive in creating solutions, and able to run several evaluations in parallel.
